Cruise port · Cartagena

Psychiatrist for cruise passengers — before you sail.

Most port calls are 6–10 hours. We send a licensed psychiatrist or psychiatry resident to the terminal, your hotel near the port, or another address in Cartagena — same day, with prescriptions issued on the spot.

Why cruise passengers can't use the usual options

  • ×Hospital ER waits of 4–8 hours — longer than many port calls.
  • ×Ship medical staff cannot write Colombian prescriptions for controlled meds.
  • ×Local clinics rarely speak English and won't issue Recetario Oficial forms.
  • ×Telemedicine can't deliver the physical prescription pharmacies require for Xanax, Klonopin, or Ritalin.

Cruise-specific questions

Can the doctor meet me right at the cruise terminal?

Often yes. Include your terminal and pier in the request. We coordinate a discreet meeting point — terminal area, port hotel, or nearby address — based on port rules and your schedule.

What if my ship leaves before the visit?

Tell us your all-aboard time upfront. We prioritize cruise requests and will be honest in chat if the window is too tight. If we can't complete the visit before you sail, we work with you before dispatching a physician.

Will I have time to fill the prescription before boarding?

Plan for consultation plus pharmacy run. Farmatodo and Cruz Verde branches exist near the port and in Bocagrande. Bring your passport and the original Recetario form the physician issues.

Is this for emergencies?

No. For medical emergencies, use ship medical staff or call 123. PsychNow is for non-emergency psychiatric consultations — refilling psychiatric medications you cannot buy at a Colombian pharmacy without a doctor.
